I’ve written over 30 email sequences in the last two years alone for SaaS and course creators. But for my case study, I’d like to highlight an email campaign that I wrote during COVID for a nonprofit.

Raised $90K+ through a nonprofit email campaign

It was hard to get attention for a cause during COVID because (rightly so) each cause deserved attention. We resolved the challenge by crafting a 16-email sequence that nurtured past donors, encouraged them to opt for subscription based donations, and told them stories about the beneficiaries benefiting from free meals and school supplies. That’s not all, we didn’t leave our donors when they made a donation, in fact, we thanked them with a video message founder and encouraged them to spread the word.

The team and I delivered copy that told the inside story of how it feels like to be taken care of. We built trust by showing transparency in our process. We introduced our team, filmed videos for overseas donors (without compromising on beneficiaries’ privacy), and offered virtual tours for donors who couldn’t visit us on site. This was a big project and I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of it.
